The coming week offers to be a grand treat for fans of video games as the annual video game conference, E3 (Electronic Entertainment Expo), is all set to be held in Los Angeles. Fans are expecting a slew of announcements about brand new games, computers and gadgets.

But as far as fans of 'The Elder Scrolls' are concerned, the event might prove to be a damp squib. According to reports, chances are high that their hopes about the sixth installment's announcement will not be met. They might not even get to hear a mention of the game at all.

Why? Well, it is because Bethesda, the developing company behind the immensely successful video game series, is busy in the remastered version of the 'The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.' And it means that the sixth installment will be delayed even more, which is certainly not a good news for the fans, who have been demanding for the release for a long time.

Notably, the speculations about Bethesda being focused on 'Skymaster' remaster started doing the rounds after a discussion emerged on Game Central website among the fans. Several of them talked about this theory and slowly it gained steam, ultimately burgeoning into a popular discussion.

The degree of popularity can be gauged from the fact that the site also responded to the discussion. Its reply stated that even the site thought on similar lines and this was the reason it dismissed the rumors when they first came to its notice. It further said that no proof exists about the rumors being real but if they are real, it means there must be enough remasters at present that making them has become a mini-industry in itself.

It may be mentioned here that the VP of Bethesda, Pete Hines, had also previously said that they are not thinking of making any announcement about the 'The Elder Scrolls' in the current year. He even bluntly stated that the game is 'very long time away' and will take a lot of effort and time to complete.
