Just when Dakota Johnson and Mathew Hitt stated to hit it off, E!News maintains that the loved-up duo has called it off.

Dakota Johnson and Mathew Hitt, another celebrity duo, was gradually getting used to the limelight, but appears as if the circumstances were not in their favor as it was not meant to be.

And after two years of romance and intense intimacy, they have called it quit. The 26-year old American celebrity started dating the American male model and the lead singer for the band Downers began their love affair two years ago and split up in 2015, just when Dakota's nubile sensation Fifty Shades Of Grey was released. This was believed to be their initial breakup, but the duo, however, settled their differences and agreed for amicable terms and started going out once again.

A source told Just Jared: 'Dakota and Matthew have dated on-and-off for the past two years, 'They didn't get a chance to see much of each other recently because their work schedules didn't align. She's been up in Vancouver shooting fifty shades trilogy'.

Dakota has always been busy with her current and upcoming projects and this time it has cost her the love of her life.

She once admitted she is too busy for love, when she was asked if her boyfriend appreciated 'Fifty Shades of Grey', in which she stars as Anastasia Steele.

She said at the time: "My hypothetical beloved thinks it's great. He's really supportive.

"I don't have a lot of time for a relationship. I'm too bustling sanctimonious and afterwards we go home and there's no one."

Mathew, on the other hand appears quite committed with his musical side as his band is looking forward for the summer tour.

Their last presence as a couple was highlighted at the 2016 Met Gala where they were photographed holding hands together.

Dakota Johnson as Anastasia Steele is currently shooting for her erotic blockbuster, Fifty Shades Darker which will be released in February 2017.
