The Fast and the Furious franchise is a household Hollywood name synonymous with gut churning car stunts, jaw dropping action-packed chase scenes, and exploding cars from everywhere.

Recent tidbits from its Mad Max-esque shooting in Iceland, Cuba, and Cleveland reveal that the automotive carnage that lucky bystanders are privy are as crazy as the effects-laden scenes in the movie.

As reported by Popular Mechanics, journalist Justin King posted a video on his Twitter featuring hell-of-a-ride Fast and Furious 8 stunt in Cleveland with cars falling off from a building and exploding down below resulting to street fires that would probably send an unaware and surprised bystander a run for the hills followed by a 911 call for help.

In another part of the world, the next installment has seen a couple of scenes being shot in faraway Iceland. As reported by Movie Web, the Iceland production crew reportedly pulled off a record-breaking explosion with sightings of several cars moving away from it at extreme speeds. The film production in the sparsely populated country also featured of a number of classic all-American muscle cars, exotic sports cars, and a tank. In a country where snow is the main climatic feature, there will also be snowmobiles in frantic speed chases.

With the Furious 7's $1.516 billion blockbuster success, new director F. Gary Gray's challenge is to pick up the momentum where the previous installment left off while giving the forthcoming sequel a brand new flavor.

According to Cinema Blend, Fast and Furious 8 is the first Hollywood mainstream movie to be filmed in Castro's island-nation of Cuba. Since the end of April, production crews have arrived to start the movie rolling in the nostalgic streets of Havana.

Apart from locations like Iceland and Cleveland, some scenes are expected to take place in New York too where Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel), Luke Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson), Letty Ortiz (Michelle Rodriguez), Romance Pearce (Tyrese Gibson), and Tej Parker (Ludacris) continue to chase their car-studded and action-packed adventure into the streets of the Big Apple. The eighth installment is slated for a theatrical release on April 14, 2017.
