Wondering what Samsung will call its next phablet? You may not have to wait longer than first week of August to know.

New reports suggest Samsung will unveil the next phablet, rumored to be called Note 7, well ahead of Apple to steal the thunder from its rival. This a strategy in work since the launch of last year's Note 5 earned Samsung loyal customers, thanks to a launch well ahead of Apple's flagship devices.

Leaks from trusted tipsters also indicate an impending launch in August. According to Evan Blass, known through his Twitter handle evleaks, the next Galaxy Note will launch in August. Blass has considerable success in predicting launch of Samsung devices.

Recent reports about the next Note also speculate it could be powered by an octa-core Snapdragon chipset supported by 6 GB or more RAM. Galaxy Note devices are known to push hardware limits on phones but the next Note may take it to a whole new level. With QHD display slim RGB display, possibly a dual-curved display like the Galaxy Edge series, a massive 4000 mAh battery and rumored dual-camera, it could be a device worth emulating. It must be noted that Samsung has not confirmed or commented about rumors.

One rumor floated last week may particularly prove true. Samsung is reportedly going to skip its naming convention and call its next Note 7 and not Note 6. This is to bring some congruence to branding and marketing of its devices. According to various reports, Samsung feels a Note 6 suggests a last-gen device when viewed alongside Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge.

Finally but most importantly, latest reports claim Note 7 surfaced online. A listing here suggests the phablet, technically referred as SM-N935G, could be equipped with a curved and not flat display, reports suggest.
