"You know, I have slept with a lot of guys in the industry, but none of them helped me get my record deals. Which is annoying."

That's what Lana Del Rey, the "Born to Die" hitmaker has to say of her new song "F****d My Way Up to the Top" from her latest album "Ultraviolence."

In a candid interview with Complex Magazine, Del Rey explained that sleeping with a lot of guys in the industry never got her anywhere. But for the song, she used the title as "commentary."

Del Rey also explained the album's title "ultra" and "violence" meant both aggression and softness to her. When asked what the relationship between violence and love was, she said:

"I like a physical love. I like a hands-on love. [Pauses.] How can I say this without getting into too much trouble? I like a tangible, passionate love. For me, if it isn't physical, I'm not interested."

The "Summertime Sadness" hitmaker also opened up about her tragic relationship and how her insecurity and "emotional instability" destroyed the one thing she loved the most.

"Definitely demolished that through tons of depression and insecurity. Now it's just an untenable relationship, impossible because of my emotional instability," she says.

But the "Video Games" crooner has a chirpy take on love altogether. Speaking of the worst relationship advice she ever received, Del Rey said:

"That love doesn't come easily and that relationships are supposed to be a struggle. Everything else is so hard; hopefully love is the one thing that is actually fun."
