Speculations are swirling across tech rumor land with the highly anticipated release of hybrid smart device churned out from Microsoft's sweat shop- the Surface Pro 5. If rumors prove accurate, the new flagship model is likely to be unveiled around June or October this year.

As mentioned in a report by Modern Readers, Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is reportedly slated for June release while some updates suggest a later date sometime in October. With the two rumored release schedules, the latter has more credible weight because it will be a year from the time Microsoft Surface Pro 4 was launched.

In another speculated report by Country Caller, Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is expected to be introduced sometime in the first quarter of 2017 along with an upgraded Microsoft Windows software called Redstone amid rumors suggesting that the forthcoming flagship device will be equipped with a brand new operating system. With the arrival of Microsoft Surface Pro 5, the Redmond-based tech giant is hoping to bank on its advantage in the hybrid market device.

As for its specs and features, the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will be equipped with a technologically promising 4K Ultra HD screen with a 3,840 x 2,160 display resolution, Ecumenical News reported. The Silicon Valley titan is also speculated to develop a new Surface Pen powered by a rechargeable battery that would inevitably replace the existing accessory that runs on power from an AAAA cell.

In addition, Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will reportedly include an innovative new magnetic dock on the device's body to power the Surface Pen. And in catching up with the trend observed across high-end smart devices, Microsoft is also rumored to introduce USB Type-C port on all upcoming smartphones and other hybrid devices including the Surface Pro 5.

The pricing for the forthcoming hybrid flagship remains undisclosed although most pundits estimate the price to start at $900.
