New leaked images of iPhone 7 show marked differences from the iPhone 6S though the phones are speculated to share form-factor.

Images show presence of four grilles, two each at top and bottom of the phone. Leaks, of purported images of 4.7-inch iPhone 7 case, does not show a headphone jack suggesting earlier rumors about Apple restricting wired headphone use to Lightning could be true. Additionally, the phone's rear has an aperture larger than iPhone 6S camera, suggesting a significant improvement in the shooter.

Camera aperture in the leaks also shows Apple could be restricting dual-camera modules to the bigger iPhone 7 Plus. Earlier last week, images claimed to show dual-camera and storage modules of the 5.5-inch iPhone 7, accompanied by reports that Apple may face supply issues in procuring modules due to delay in functioning of Sony's production unit in Japan following the last earthquake.

Apple is expected to introduce the A10 chipset to power the iPhone 7. Some version of the phone may also get 3GB RAM. Recent rumors have suggested Apple may keep the entry level storage option at 16 GB to entice buyers at all price points. Many have however wondered if the 16 GB iphone will serve the purposes of modern-day use given that video resolutions of up to 4K can consume substantial storage space.

Sales forecast for iPhone 7 have been pessimistic as analysts believe the phone may not meet expectations. Interestingly, surveys have shown existence of a strong demand, mainly from existing iPhone users looking to upgrade their devices.

Several leaks of the iPhone 7 have emerged, indicating growing interest in the device. Apple however has remained mum. The device is expected to launch this fall. Analyst predictions have portended a spike in iPhone sales when Apple releases its 2017 flagship that could feature a novel screen and body.
