According to news reports, many fans are now hoping to see the second installment of popular game, "Red Dead Redemption," a game based on West. The first part of the game was released in May 2010 on PS3 and Xbox 360. The fans are now impatiently waiting for the sequel, mainly because of the recent map leak.

The good news is that Rockstar not only plans to come out with the "Red Dead Redemption 2" sequel but will also have more for its loyal fans. However, before the gamers start anticipating the release of "RDR 2," it is better to wait as Lanie Goldstein, CFO of Take Interactive, is expecting a split between Rockstar Games and 2K games, where the latter will gain 75% of the pie.

As far as the release date is concerned, Rockstar Games will come out with its new projects in 2017, so there is nothing much to look forward to this year. Even Gamespot said that there will not be any new games by Rockstar until 2017.

With respect to Take Two, even though there are not any new releases that are expected this year, Rockstar Game still continues be the income bearer for the company. The most popular game is undoubtedly "GTA V" which is bringing in handsome profits. Not only that, even micro-transactions for GTA Online is also earning big for Take Two. It is also speculated that back catalog sales will also attract more profits. For now, the Rockstar Games fans should wait for an official update that will be out by 2017.
