Descendants of the Sun News: Hit drama’s OSTs are arranged in concerts overseas

The hit drama of 2016 "Descendants of the Sun" will be holding concerts in four different countries around Asia performing the OSTs of the said drama.

This was confirmed on May 22 by representatives of the drama, by stating, "The OST concert will be held in seven locations in four countries, including Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, and various sites in China such as Beijing and Hong Kong."

The representatives added, "'Descendants of the Sun' established itself as a Hallyu drama, and the passion and fervor for it is still alive. Because of this, we quickly received requests for the OST concerts." As Soompi quoted the statements of the representative.

Reports stated that the event organizers and directors from four different countries have either completed or still in the mode of signing an agreement for partnerships (memorandum of understanding).

On My 14, The first concert of "Descendants of the Sun" OST wrapped up successfully in Kyung Hee University, Hall of Peace in Seoul, during the concert, different scenes from the drama were plugged, also the compilation of the drama's BTS were revealed by the actors, and official soundtracks of the drama were performed by the original artists.

The event was full packed with total audiences of 7000.

The hit drama Descendants of the Sun's global demand claim to be earning an economic growth worth 1 trillion won (approximately $840 million) for Korea, this shows enough economic impact that even create 4000 jobs.

Descendants of the Sun was a huge hit and has become the most mentioned drama on social media, with cumulative views of 440 million views on Chinese video iQiyi, according to a Chinese online media company.

 DOTS even overtook the increasing number of views of 2014 hit drama "My love from the Star" starred by Jun Ji-hyun and Kim Soo-hyun.
