Signing star player is never easy considering the fact that it is first of all tough to convince them to join and in addition to that there is usually a big transfer fee involved, not to mention the fact that a club needs to fight off other clubs before that fee is agreed. It now seems that Manchester United would need to fight off two of Europe's biggest clubs if they want to sign their long term target James Rodriguez from Real Madrid this summer and due to the huge transfer fee that was paid by Real back in 2014, there is no doubt in anyone's mind that whoever acquires his signature would also have to pay a considerable sum of money for the transfer.

Manchester United are determined to go on a complete overhaul of their first team in the summer and Columbian star James Rodriguez is one of their prime targets, however they now face stiff competition for his signature since German giants Bayern Munich and Italian champions Juventus have also expressed their interest in signing him up this summer. Although it is true that Manchester United have more financial power as compared to the otheer two clubs, there is no doubt that Juventus and Bayern are no pushovers either in the transfer market and since they do not need to spend a lot in other positions, they can have a bigger budget for James Rodriguez. So, there is no doubt that a three way fight for the signature of the talented Columbian is going to play itself out over the next few weeks.

Rodriguez is a player who lit up the World Cup in Brazil with his sublime performances for Columbia and following the tournament, he was signed up by Real in a big money move. After a promising first season, the 2015-16 season has not panned out the way he would have liked and he has found himself out of the first team squad planty of times. His talent though is not in doubt and it is all set to spark a bidding war among three of Europe's biggest clubs this summer.
