On May 18, a representative of YG Entertainment said to OSEN, "We checked with Yang Hyun Suk (CEO of YGE). The new girl group is set to debut this July and is currently in the stage of wrapping up the preparations". The grouping of the member was already determined quite some time. The fact that the CEO is preparing the MV shows that their debut song has been recorded. But the specific debut date has not been conceded."

The members of the group were not also revealed in the statement given, though there were candidates reportedly mentioned by the company and they are Kim Jisoo, who recently appeared in the KBS drama "Producer." And Moon Suah, who recently appeared in the Mnet rapper survival show "Unpretty Rapstar."

In an interview with OSEN last year, Yang Hyun Suk said, "I'm considering of forming a girl group focused on members whose beauty will overwhelm the public's expectations." Many people then gave interest since YG Entertainment is best known for promoting exceeding talent and beauty other than the typical standard of appearance.

This new girl group will be the first girl group to debut since 2NE1. (Soompi)
