Dark Souls 3's latest anti-cheating patch update was supposedly rolled out to curb widespread online hacking in the game's PC version. Unfortunately, the solution became its own problem following the decision of game developer 'From Software' to pull back it back after causing the game to freeze.

"This patch has been removed temporarily to fix the freeze issues. We hope to reinstate the patch ASAP. We will keep you posted as soon as we have more info. Thank you for your understanding," From Software stated in a statement via the Steam page.

According to a report by Game Spot, hackers seemed to have found a way to exploit loopholes in Dark Soul 3's cheat detection features during multiplayer game setting which allow some extremely savvy game cheaters to temporarily ban other players. While the latest patch updated appeared to have already solved these concerns, freezing was the subsequent unintended result. From Software promised that as the patch is being recalled for the meantime, victims of the unscrupulous tactics by hackers will not be inflicted with bans.

Meanwhile, some players reportedly detected another glitch in the said game. As mentioned in a report by VG247, a number of gamers think that Poise stat is an unrecognized glitch that developers should promptly address. Unlike in the previous games, the said feature seemed to have no impact on their characters.

However, a Reddit user named Back_like_Flint appeared to have neat reasonable explanation regarding the deemed glitch. The Reddit user plausibly theorized that when a character rolls, the Dark Soul 3' graphical animation requires a certain number of frames for completion.

Also, game developer 'From Software' repeatedly refutes any claim of Poise stat-related issues or allegations of malfunction. Dark Souls 3's Poise stat may have been incorrectly perceived by some gamers as having problems or issues because it is differently construed compared to the previous titles.

The third iteration of the Dark Souls franchise has so far sold 3 million units globally while the total worldwide shipments of the entire game has already reached beyond 13 million. The third installment of the Dark Souls series proved to be very popular in North America and Europe where it sold around 1.5 million and 1 million copies respectively.
