Cupertino-based tech giant Apple usually roll out software updates for purposes of enhancing user experience by introducing a slew of new enticing features, system improvements, and bug fixes. There are times, however, when updates become the very problem they are trying to fix. Recently, a growing number of Apple users have been rambling about the latest version of the El Capitan update.

According to MacRumors, a restless and growing number of Mac users have voiced out their complaints across various online forums regarding the company's latest version of El Capitan, the desktop operating system that Apple launched two months ago. Users have complained about freezing issues with OS X 10.11.4 update. Sudden freezing issues occur not just in Apple-owned Safari browser but also in other Apple-related apps as well as third-party applications.

Meanwhile, majority of those who initially reported the tech issue appeared to have been owners of 13-inch Retina MacBook Pro 2015 models. The problem, however, seemed to have already spread to include other Mac devices like the affordable Mac Mini. As per Ubergizmo report, affected users have repeatedly tried to get their unresponsive device up and working again by doing hard restart.

So far, Apple has not yet officially commented on what might have possibly caused a sudden freeze on affected devices following the OS X 10.11.4 update. Apple's tech support should already be aware of the problem although reports reveal that the company is still working on the issue with immediate fix in sight yet.

For a temporary fix, users could downgrade their software version to OS X 10.11.3 if they have backup. Currently, Apple is also working on another El Capitan iteration, OS X 10.11.5, which is still in beta stage with a number of technical glitches, Fortune Magazine reported.

Reports indicate that the forthcoming OS X 10.11.5 update has been released in beta version since April 6. So far, the beta update includes mostly under-the-hood enhancements like security features and bug fixes. No conspicuous and significant changes have so far been noticed.
