Meanwhile in the Moto camp, after it's now known that the launch date for their new phone Moto G 2016 Lenovo-owned Motorola is reportedly going to bring its second shatterproof smartphone which could be named the Moto X4 or the Moto X 2016 depending upon their choices. The device is now speculated to be unveiled in August this year. According to a new rumor, the device will feature a 5.5-inch AMOLED display with a shattershield crack-proof secure layer panel. The leaked images also hint at the physical home button below the screen as a square metal ring, which indicates it will also most likely act as a fingerprint scanner.

In addition, if the rumors were to be believed or to come out true, Motorola will also be coming out with not one but two variants of the Moto X which will reportedly be termed as Vector and Vertex. The Vector will supposedly be the premium version or the new "flagship" for the year which is expected to come out with a 5.5-inch screen and 1440p resolution with a pixel density count to be as higher as above 500 PPI. A 2GHz Snapdragon 820 processor will come in to variants one with either 3GB of memory and a 32GB storage or a 4GB memory with 64GB of storage. The smartphone will pack in a 2600mAh battery much to the misfortune of the user considering how powerful a Snapgradon 820 processor running on a 1440p display will draw all juice in very little time.

On the other hand, Vertex will be something like a budget end variant of the Vector with the same display size but probably downscaled to a lower resolution of 1080p. The design however is expected to be unchanged and is an all-metal phone but will offer a bigger battery at 3500mAh. It could be powered by a 2.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor along with 16GB of internal storage. It is rumoured to sport a 16MP rear camera with laser and phase-detect focus system.
