In its recent earnings presentation, Square Enix has confirmed that neither its highly anticipated Kingdom Hearts 3 nor Final Fantasy 7: Remake will be released within the company's financial year ending in March 31, 2017. This announcement basically kills any remaining hope for a 2016 release of either Kingdom Hearts 3 or Final Fantasy 7: Remake.

During the presentation, the game developer and publisher released its full list of the major titles that are being slated for release this year which includes World of Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue and the PS4 version of Rise of the Tomb Raider as per Ubergizmo report.

Nier: Automata didn't appear on the list too despite having been slated for 2016 release. The company may not have considered the game 'major' enough to be listed in its annual financial report or simply moved for next year's release, Video Gamer reported.

Meanwhile, Final Fantasy 7: Remake is reportedly set to bring back a number of original contents including classic game features including the Golden Saucers mini-games. As mentioned by Square Enix game producer Yoshinori Kitase in a recent interview, fans are still likely to find the popular mini-games quite enjoyable even after the years have passed.

"We want to put the mini-games that remain favorable among fans in as much as possible. Development staff is also thinking about what to do with the mini-games," Kitase said as quoted by Gematsu.

Other classic mini-games that will make it to the remake include the 'Mog House,' 'Chocobo Racing,' and 'G Bike', Yibada reported.

In a nutshell, 'Final Fantasy 7: Remake' is developed by Square Enix to be refitted for PlayStation 4 console. The storyline stayed faithful to the original where ex-Shinra enforcer Cloud Strife joins Avalanche eco-terrorist group to prevent Shinra Corp. from exhausting the planet's energy.
