A British betting shop, Coral, places bets on major events of 2016 and has already stopped laying any on Tom Hiddleston. According to the company, there are many people betting on Loki as the next best option for the role of James Bond. When Hiddleston was spotted in a meeting with Sam Mendes, "James Bond" movie director, the stake for Hiddleston began to churn. The others present at the meeting were Barbara Broccoli, movie producer, at London's Soho House members club.

This meeting was arranged after Hiddleston said that he has not been approached for the role of James Bond so far. However, Nicola McGeady, spokesperson at Coral, said that there is no smoke without fire.

She added that they had to stop the bet for Tom Hiddleston. "Earlier in the year there was a gamble on Idris Elba and Damian Lewis, but nothing has come close to the recent gamble on Hiddleston."

It is strange though that the betting has closed already, even when nothing has been confirmed about Daniel Craig and his stint with the franchise. Even Tom Hiddleston has previously expressed his opinion about Craig being the James Bond. He said, "will do many, many more. As far as I'm concerned, he is James Bond."

Other stars that were on the bet include Damian Lewis 14-1, Idris Elba 9-1, Tom Hardy at 4-1, and Aidan Turner 3-1. In fact, the movie makers of the "James Bond" have not confirmed if Daniel Craig will reprise his role for the next installment in the long going Bond series. He has also denied the rumors about him not being the next Bond.
