Cleveland Cavaliers lead player LeBron James is apparently awed by Stephen Curry's shooting prowess as he gave a thumbs-up comment on the Golden State shooting guard's recent achievement of being awarded the first-ever unanimous Most Valuable Player title.

Curry's MVP repeat is indisputable although James may argue on how the world 'valuable' should be defined as the said honor can be subjected to a number of different interpretations.

"I think sometimes the word 'valuable' or best player of the year, you can have different results," said a four-time MVP James as quoted by ESPN. "You know, that's not taking anything from anyone that's ever won the award."

As per NBA record, Curry is the 11th player in the league's history to have won the title in consecutive seasons since James' MVP campaign that won him the title in 2012 and 2013. The Warriors shooting wizard is also the first guard to win the award since Phoenix Suns' Steve Nash did it 2005 and 2006.

Admittedly, James noted that Curry certainly deserved the award as there can be no denying of the huge impact Curry had on the basketball world for the past two seasons.

"Look at Steph's numbers. He averaged 30, he led the league in steals, and he was 90-50-40 [shooting percentages from the free throw line, field and beyond the 3-point line], and they won 73 [games]...So take nothing away from him. He's definitely deserving of that award, for sure," James further noted as mentioned in an article by the Bleacher Report.

The four-time MVP awardee finished third in the voting by a panel made up of 130 sports journalists and 1 fan behind Golden State's Stephen Curry and San Antonio's Kawhi Leonard.

Meanwhile, LeBron James seemed to have finished third place in something else. According to Cleveland.Com, James' Cavaliers shirt has slipped two notches down in jersey sales as Stephen Curry's surging popularity made his No.30 basketball uniform topped the sales well ahead of Kobe Bryant (No. 24, L.A. Lakers) and James' No. 23 Cavaliers jersey from Oct. 4 through April 2.
