Chinese telecommunications equipment manufacturer Huawei has added another device to its 'Honor' sub-brand of smartphones. It's called Honor V8, and also this is the smartphone in the company's new V series of phones.

Launched in China, the Huawei Honor V8 is powered by a 2.5 GHz Octa-core Kirin950 CPU which is really powerful especially when paired with 4GB of RAM. The smartphone has a 5.7-inch display that comes in two variants - Full HD at 1080x1920 pixels resolution and Quad HD with 1440x2560 pixels resolution, and 32GB/64GB of in-built storage which is expandable via microSD card.

The smartphone has dual rear cameras which is one of a kind right now each with 12MP in resolution and having laser autofocus and dual LED flash as well. The front facing camera is equipped with an 8MP sensor. The rear of the phone also houses a fingerprint sensor which can also be used to take photos and access the notifications. This is something that you don't see in other phones. Don't count me on that yet. The Phone also comes with Huawei's own skin Emotion UI v4.1.

This would be in markets with three color options. They are silver, gold and of course Rose Gold which now seems like a new trend in the smartphone market that was set by Apple. In terms of connectivity options for the Huawei Honor V8 include with standard 4G alongside VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC and GPS being common in most phones. The phone also comes with a USB Type-C port and supports Huawei's own payment platform. The phone should also be NFC payment compliant by Google's standards. The phone has a gigantic 3500mAh battery. Pricing for the Huawei Honor V8 starts at CNY 2,499 which is something around 350US$ or around 240 sterling pounds. The availability of the phone is yet to be speculated.
