Golden State Warriors most prized asset and shooting guard Stephen Curry has once again nabbed the highly coveted NBA Most Valuable Player award for the second straight season on Tuesday this week. The 28-year-old Curry has garnered all the first-place votes from a panel of sports journalists and one vote from MVP fan making him the first NBA player in the league's history to win the title unanimously.

Sporting a slim-fitting blue suit, the three-pointer machine stood on stage at Oracle Arena as he received his 2015-16 MVP award for the second time, this time with another NBA record to brag of.

Just this season, Curry has already set a number of league records including the 400 three-pointers, the 73 regular season wins, and the 17 overtime points in Game 4 with Portland Trail Blazers.

The Warriors' point guard has just carved his name in the league's pantheon of immortals by getting another first in the professional basketball history.

"I never really set out to change the game. I never thought that would happen in my career," Curry said in his acceptance speech as quoted by ESPN. "What I wanted to do was be myself. ... I know it inspires the next generation. You can work every day to get better."

Curry was more than double the total points of other title contenders like second-placer Kawhi Leonard and third-placer LeBron James, SF Gate reported. Other known MVPs like Shaquille O'Neal, James, and basketball legend Michael Jordan were all one or two votes shy of their respective unanimous selection.

The Warriors point guard has followed up his remarkable 2014-15 campaign to the MVP race with an even better performance this season such as breaking his own three-point record with a significant margin of 116 points as he finished with an incredible 402 treys.

He averaged 30 points with almost 7 assists and 5 rebounds per game throughout the season as mentioned in a report by SB Nation. When it comes down to metrics, he has an overall 50% shooting percentage, 45% from three, and 91% from free throw.
