‘Quantico’ Episode 21 “Closure Right” Reveals the Real Terrorist, Joshua Safran Gives out More Details

The penultimate episode of Quantico "Closure Right" aired yesterday and finally fans found out who the real terrorist was.

It turned out to be Liam. The seasoned FBI agent and the mentor of the NATs at Quantico, is the traitor. He forced Drew to record as the Voice, thereby, guiding Alex into driving the truck, putting hers and everyone's life around her at risk.

Not only this, he also held him and Simon in a room with a bomb inside which explodes when Ryan breaks in. Miranda finds out about Liam and confronts him at his home, where, she is shot by Liam who tells her he is doing it to make things right.

Well, in the twentieth episode we had seen how Drew was revealed to be the terrorist as Alex found out after she was forced to drive Ryan's truck with the nuclear bomb, after framing him unwittingly. But every fan, who has been an ardent follower, took the revelation with a pinch of salt. And now comes the real truth.

This is because show creator Joshua Safran has confirmed the news. According to reports, he has revealed that viewers will learn everything about the why and how of the mastermind in the finale. He also said that it was very clear from the speeches he gave in the class and was the most suitable choice.

On being asked why was the terrorist not a NAT, he said that it was because of the story's theme line which explores who one can turn into if one does not deal with the secrets one keeps. He also revealed that Josh Hopkins (Liam) was told about him being the terrorist in the eighteenth episode and he relished the secret while shooting the finale.

Josh cautioned about some heavy bloodshed in the finale and said that the viewers must keep their tissues ready. It will give all the details about why Liam did it and the last thirty seconds will launch the season 2.
