The WWE Hall of Fame is without doubt the highest honour in the wrestling industry by a fair industry and over the years, some of the biggest names in the industry have been added to it. It is a huge honour and immortalises a wrestler forever, which is why it is not a surprise that there was widespread clamour among wrestling fans and stars alike to include recently departed WWE star Chyna into the WWE Hall of Fame. However, the demand opened up a pandora's box that has found the company in a difficult situation and in fact caused WWE star Vince Russo to slam the management of the company, namely Stephanie McMahon and her husband Triple H, for their refusal to induct Chyna to the Hall of Fame.

When the topic was raised with Stephanie McMahon, she seemd non committal and was diplomatic with her answer, "I'm sure that we'll see Chyna in the Hall of Fame at some point in the future. I'm not sure what year that will be, but there's no denying her contributions to WWE." Although it is true that she did not reject the suggestion outright, it appeared like a mealy mouthed reply particluarly due to the comments that has been made by her husband and now an executive in the WWE, Triple H. Triple H had earlier stated that the WWE would find it 'difficult' to have her in the WWE Hall of Fame due to her subsequent career as a porn star and hence, Stephanie's comments seemed to echo that of her husband's.

In one of his recent blog posts, Vince Russo, went after Stephanie McMahon for this attitude and wrote, "It's so sad that Joan Laurer (Chyna's real name) had to actually DIE in order to be recognized by the WWE. Honestly, mere words here cannot even start to describe how sad, pathetic and just out right disgusting that is. While she was on this planet Vince, Hunter and Stephanie didn't even have the decency to treat her like a human being, let alone someone who contributed to their overall success over the years. But in her death . . . she is SURE to get in the Hall of Fame."
