In a recent interview, Olivia Munn confirmed that she initially wanted to do the part that finally went to Morena Baccarin. But the actress turned down the part because wanted to play a more action-filled part in the film and not just the lead guy's love interest.

Lucky for her, Munn was contacted to play Betsy Baddock, Psylocke, with plenty of action sequences. "The fight scene could be her monologue," she said with a smile. The "X-Men: Apocalypse" actress was given a lot of decision making power in the way her character was represented in the movie.

"I thought Psylocke was always one of the most lethal characters," she said, adding that she made sure "X-Men: Apocalypse" will not focus on the Marvel mutant's looks. "I said, 'Yes, as long as you're not using her to be the eye candy. She has really powerful abilities.' And they said, 'Yes, that's an important part,' " Munn concluded.

According to her Instagram account, there are many videos that show Munn working out and preparing for the role of Psylocke. She also seen practicing her sword-fighting skills. There is also a short video of her and the "Deadpool" actor, Ryan Reynolds, in a sword-fighting face-off.
X-Men's Psylocke is undeniably one of the most sought after characters in the comic books and the fans can't wait to see her on the big screen.

"X-Men: Apocalypse" is directed by Bryan Singer and will also feature "Game of Thrones" actress Sophie Turner. The film will premiere on May 27.
