Trade speculations involving Jimmy Butler is persistently swirling across rumor land with several teams expressing interest in acquiring Jimmy Butler. However, the Bulls seems uninterested in letting go a highly prized asset off its roster as the franchise throws impossible demands effectively killing trade talks.

Initially, it was Los Angeles Lakers expressing a keen desire to get him into fold with its massive cap space. Now, Boston Celtics is also making a run at the Bulls combo guard, Hall of Fame Magazine reported. Since Butler's growing rift with coach Fred Hoiberg has reached the ears of the prying media, trade rumors have become a staple item across various sports news outfits.

So, what does it take to get Chicago agree on trading him?

As per SB Nation report, the Bulls are asking a lot. Their minimum requirement should they even consider doing so is a trade package that includes top draft picks plus a 'proven NBA starter' in exchange for Butler.

Boston Celtics may have some bargaining chips to offer such as Avery Bradley, Jae Crowder, and Marcus Smart, to a name a few. If they could finally convince Bulls to give up Butler, then they may be able to entice Kevin Durant into signing in. Previous reports indicate that Durant is not interested in a team with no serious roster built for a serious championship title run.

"And if the goal for the Celtics is to catapult itself to being a title contender sooner rather than later, they're going to have to acquire an elite, all-star caliber talent before they have a serious shot at Durant," wrote A. Sherrod Blakely of CSNNE.

What makes a potential NBA Title Contender?

Key to assembling a team geared up for winning involves scouting for an elite cornerstone player whom to build the rest of the team around. For now, the Bulls seem to see that quality in Butler who's locked in to a max contract for five years with player option in the fifth season.
