Weather and location continue to intrigue testers of Pokemon GO, who are trying to figure out if there is a method to the madness.

Testers have compiled a video suggesting weather and location affect Pokemon spawning. According to the video, factors that determine locations like placement of a park or near the lake results in spawning of certain type of Pokemon. One tester reported finding more of Magnemites and Rattatta in the city while finding water Pokemon near the local lake. Another tester claimed that when a storm arrives, gangs of Electabuzz scale heights to get struck by lightning.

"As far as I noticed (from different posts and comment, I'm not a beta tester myself) there is a wide range of pokemon appearing in the same areas. I'm guessing that in the final game pokemon will be more specialized to certain areas. Cant forget how a magicarp was splashing around in a bush lol," a Reddit user wrote.

Pokemon GO testing in Australia has given many fans their first glimpse of the game. Details leaked have revealed PokeStops and gyms, customizing trainers, teams and evolution.

The leaks have also revealed how the new game breaks away from previous games in evolving Pokemon. While level ups and stones were used for evolving Pokemon in previous games, Pokemon GO players will have to collect evolution shards by capturing Pokemon of the same type. Niantic clear intends to not make Pokemon evolution easy on the players.

Pokemon GO was announced by Niantic last September but date of its release has not been announced. While most rumors suggest a summer release, the augmented reality may be delayed until the end of this year.
