WWE Hall of Famer Bobby 'The Brain' Heenan was reportedly sent to the hospital after suffering from a fall at home. The doctors are watchfully making sure he'll recover from his injuries. He was one of the most iconic and prominent managers and commentators of the promotion at the height of his career in the 1980's and 1990's.

Fellow Hall of Famer and wrestling commentator 'Mean' Gene Okerlund updated fans about his friend's condition in a tweet saying, "Hey Gang. Just got word that, Bobby Heenan had a spill this morning and will be in the hospital for a few days. Wishing The Brain the best," as per Top Rope Press.

The news of his condition first broke out when Pro Wrestling Sheet confirmed his hospitalization on Wednesday. As per doctors' recommendation, the Hall of Famer should stay in the hospital for the next 72 hours due to extremely low blood pressure.

David Herro, the person authorized to speak on the family's behalf, that he was with Bobby in Las Vegas and that the 71-year-old announced seemed to be pretty well. As a result of Heenan's hospitalization, his slated appearance in the Super Friends Fan Fest in Milwaukee has been cancelled.

This is not the first time the Hall of Famer had to take a break from his regular WWE appearances. Back in 2002, he had bouts with throat cancer and also subsequently struggled with tongue cancer, and even jaw infections since then, Bleacher Report reported. Furthermore, he also had to go under the knife last year after a previous fall.

As far as his pro wrestling legacy is concerned, he is reputably known as one of wrestling history's greatest managers, all-around in-ring performer, and commentator since his retirement.

He made a name for himself as someone who could send the crowd into a frenzied excitement as he thrills the audience with his quick wit and sharp tongue, undeniably proving his excellence at playing the heel role. Nicknamed the 'Weasel', the crowd would explode in sudden pleasure whenever a top wrestler like the iconic Hulk Hogan or Ultimate Warrior would lay hands on him.

Because of his contribution to WWE in multiple capacities, he was inducted into the 2004 Hall of Fame to take a rightful place among professional wrestling's greats.
