LeBron James and Dwayne Wade are buddies on and off the court. Together, they managed to capture two NBA championships when James was still with the Heat. Had they stayed together in the team, there's a possibility of creating a dynasty. Of course, they're on the opposite sides now and there's a good chance that James would someday meet his friend not as a teammate but as an adversary.

James candidly admitted that he did think about a potential showdown between his current team, the Cavs, and his former team, the Heat. As of this writing, Cleveland is ahead of Atlanta by 2-0 in the semis. So is Miami against Toronto.

"It hasn't been heavy on my mind but it's crossed my mind throughout my whole career," said James as per CBS report.

As both teams prepared for postseason games in the second round of the playoffs, the former MVP star weighed in his thoughts on Heat vs. Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference Finals.

"Naturally, of course. That's since I've came back. It'd be great to play against those guys in the postseason. Throughout my whole career, I've always wanted to go against Wade in a playoff series. We've always talked about it even before we became teammates in '10," said James as quoted in an NBA.com report.

After returning to Cleveland in 2014, Cavs suffered a 122-101 loss to Miami in March which made head coach Tyronn Lue sort out a number of issues with James regarding the weight of his leadership after the star player wasted the team's precious halftime fraternizing with Wade as the Cavs struggled to close in on the double-digit gap.

"Any time one of my best friends is able to go out there and perform the way he performs, it's definitely motivating. I was looking forward to Game 1 [against Toronto] after watching him in Game 6, you know, the way he was able to close that game out," said James as quoted by ESPN.

A Cavs-Heat rivalry along friendly lines is such a good plot worthy of storytelling but both teams need to overcome the hurdles that stand their way.
