Following swirling rumors and teasers flying across gaming land, Activision has officially announced the next title of the highly successful Call of Duty franchise developed by Infinity Ward. A new game trailer is now available to offer sneak preview.

The game title, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare immerses players in a gaming experience that extends beyond the confines of planet earth and way into the vast outer space. Gamers shall assume the role as commanders of their own ship as battle against a stubborn enemy called 'the Settlement Defense Front'.

"This is a grand scale, old-school, all-out war in an epic new-school setting," says Infinity Ward studio head Dave Stohl as quoted by Forbes Magazine. "And it's going to be a hell of a lot of fun."

The new title's storyline takes gamers in a highly immersive narrative filled with rich themes such as the moral weight of leadership and its responsibilities while being thrust into an extremely adverse situation where decisions are not to be taken lightly.

Soldiers are being thrown into inescapable circumstances of war where grisly experience is the only real training they could ever have. Adversities will also serve as the true test of character as the learn how to take command of the situation and make tough but imperative decisions to acquire victory.

The game also introduces freshness- a remastering of familiar themes into a new-school setting while putting players in a never-before-seen landscape along with new weaponry and slew of other inventiveness the studio have put forth in the franchise's latest installment. The military campaign will send gamers from staple boots-on-the-ground fighting to controlling speedy but well-armed spacecrafts.

"With Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, we are taking Call of Duty to places fans have never experienced in the series," remarked Stohl as per ComingSoon.Net.

"On one hand, this game is the kind of gritty, boots on the ground, visceral war story that Call of Duty is known for. On the other, its future setting takes players on a journey of epic scale and proportions, providing incredible gameplay innovations and new experiences for our fans. This is a grand scale, old-school, all-out war in an epic new-school setting. And it's going to be a hell of a lot of fun."

The futuristic story of the new game follows the exploits of Tier One Special Operations Pilot Captain Reyes who commands one of planet 'Earth's remaining warships' which suggests that the 13th title will be of epic proportions much larger than the Earth-bound titles of the hyper-popular series.

According to a report by The Verge, Reyes is on a mission to quash an insurgency movement that seceded from the so-called United Nations Space Alliance following a political fallout over the issue of colonies of Earth.

The latest game from the Call of Duty series will be officially rolled out on Friday, November 4, 2016. Infinite Warfare and the Infinite Warfare Legacy Edition will be available across different gaming platforms such as console (PS4 and Xbox One) and PC.
