The filming of 'The Walking Dead' is scheduled to begin in a couple of days.

The premiere of season seven is also several months away, but fans can now take a sneak peek into the things that can be expected in the upcoming season.

Here is what fans can expect:

It can well be expected that season seven would be telecasted not later than mid-October. However, there has not been a formal proclamation on when the premiere would actually air.

Filming is said to begin by May 2, this year. The showrunners have claimed that Corey Hawking aka Heath will be seen again in the show.

According to reports, they have confessed that being able to fix schedules is a task considering the multiple projects that some of them are involved in.

It is also reported that a new character 'Augustus' will be seen in the upcoming season, who resembles the character Ezekiel from the comic books.

Every season of The Walking Dead has had a theme and the latest season would be no exception. The identity of which character was obliterated in the finale of season six is currently unknown. However, this will be revealed in the premiere of the upcoming season.

The showrunners have stated that the characters will be seen evolving. Moreover, they teased that the change will be owing to the confrontation to the barbarous world.

The characters will be seen spending time at the Hilltop Colony. However, this would be a deviation from the comic books.

There are possibilities of Negan and Carl Grime's story from the books to make it into the plotline. Moreover, an additional character may be added to the lineup who will hold importance to the journey of Negan.

Carol is seen battling her own actions. We will have to wait to view how she will be forced to continue on this savage route.

Maggie was seen to be miserable in the finale of season six and no one knows for sure on what could be the reason behind the pain. Could it be the foetus or a mysterious illness?

Fall of 2016 will validate these speculations.
