Silence dominated the Miami Heat locker room following razor-thin 90-88 defeat to Charlotte Hornets last Wednesday. But on social media, tension escalated into a frenzied mixture of anger and disappointment as Dwayne Wade's wife and actress, Gabrielle Union, unleashed a barrage of storming tweets aimed at the referees.

The Twitter rant was apparently fueled by a no-call on Wade's last shot that could have tied Miami Heat with the Charlotte Hornets in Game 5's few remaining seconds in the fourth quarter. As Dwayne attempted a shot at the basket, he was obviously halted by what he thought was foul. However, the refs didn't seem to care which brought Wade to an incredulous reaction to the refs' no-call decision on the court.

"From my vantage point, it certainly looked like Dwayne got fouled," head coach Erik Spoelstra said as mentioned in a report by Sun Sentinel.

When Wade was later asked if he could watch a replay to confirm whether it was a foul or not, he dismissed it as utterly 'pointless' given Hornets' 3-2 lead in the playoff series.

"There's no reason for me to look at it. It ain't going to change anything. I thought I did. It wasn't called," Wade said as reported by Fox Sports.

But he's display of displeasure was simply incomparable to his wife's emotional outburst with tweets critical of the ref's officiating decisions.

"They need to get fined. Period. Crappy officiating deserves a FINE and suspension. Not after the fact 'oh well'...If players/coaches/owners get fined for complaints about poor officiating, makes sense that poor officiating =fines for the refs," Union tweeted as quoted by ESPN.

Meanwhile, Wade still tried to play it cool during the post-game press conference despite being deeply frustrated over the result of Wednesday's game and even joked about his wife having to deal with him that night after the game.

"I mean, my wife got to deal with me tonight," Wade said, Miami Herald. "No one else. I'm gonna be pissed off all night until I go to sleep. But when I wake up tomorrow, as a leader, I'm gonna come in here with a different mind-set."
