The first episode of Game of Thrones, Season 6 titled, 'The Red Woman' made a shocking revelation of Melisandre.

The sudden and unexpected revelation of Melisandre came as a surprise to the viewers and fans. As she removed and undressed her necklace, there was a sudden transformation in her physical appearance. While fans were waiting to be enthralled by the beauty and elegance of the priestess, to their surprise, the woman standing before them seemed deformed and old.

It is a well-known fact that Melisandre looked much younger than she actually is. In fact, going by the speculations by few of the cast members of the Game of Thrones, the age of Melisandre could lie between 100 to 400 years. The hypothesis is logical - if Melisandre, speculated to be over 100 years, can maintain such elegant and youthful appearance then she definitely possesses certain magical powers.

Now, the question that remains is whether Melisandre's magical powers would help Jon Snow.

It was previously said that the introductory episode of the sixth season of the 'Game of Thrones' would seal the fate of Jon Snow.

Fans have been speculating the return of Jon Snow since the fifth season of 'The Game of Thrones.' Now, it remains to be seen whether Melisandre will help Jon to return from the evil of the dead with the help of her magical powers.

Another report suggests that only Melisandre's powers might not be sufficient to bring back Jon Snow, so another priestess will be brought into the cast. The report suggests Melanie Liburd will play a Red Priestess, along with whose help Melisandre will bring back Jon Snow from his eternal sleep.

It remains to be seen whether Melisandre's magical power is contained in the necklace or is there something else that will unfold along with the progress of season six.
