"Frozen" sequel is long awaited one. Though "Frozen" movie's storyline did not revolve around 'a prince and a princess' with 'a happy ending,' it yet had a great impact on the audience as it showed the love of two sisters and a villain-prince. Lately it has been reported that the new film will represent Elsa in a different light.

According to Cinema Blend, there will definitely be a departure from Elsa's "ice queen" persona. Her journey was dark, but she came to terms with her powers and herself.

An interview with Fandango divulges a few items regarding Elsa straight from co-director Chris Buck. On Elsa, he said, "She had such a dramatic journey, and at the end she's just starting to feel like she can open up and have some fun again." Indeed, from the accidental show of her powers, to her running away, Elsa audiences see in the end was clearly different. From someone that kept to herself for most of her life, the end showed her connecting to her people, and her sister. She even promised never to close the gates of her kingdom again.

"That's what was really good about the short - we could have fun with Elsa," Buck said. The short narrated the birthday of Anna, with Elsa doing her best to make it the best day ever, despite a cold she was battling. In the 8 minutes, audiences saw how much love Elsa had for Anna, and how far she was willing to go to prove that.

Elsa will be loving and caring in "Frozen 2." "That personality, You will see in the next one," Chris Buck said.

However, the premiere date is not yet announced. Fans of Elsa and "Frozen" would wait for the movie to hit on the big screen as soon as possible.
