Manchester United's troubled manager Louis van Gaal has stated that the future is bright for the club despite having failed to mount a title challenge this season and he believes that if the club goes on to win the FA Cup then it would certainly be the start of something special. Speaking to the press ahead of their FA Cup semi final game against Everton at the famous Wembley Stadium, Louis van Gaal made those statements.

He said, "Always when you win a title it represents what Manchester United stands for.We have had a period of a lot of titles and we want to bring that back. I think it is always a success when you win a title, but for the club it is more important to qualify for the Champions League because we have to show ourselves at the highest level. That is also our aim.But when you win the FA Cup, you have a title and a very respectable title in England more than other countries." Winning that trophy would be a great tonic for the club and its players, who have been under huge pressure over the past season due to a string of insipid performances from the team.

Louis van Gaal's words seem to have done the trick for the Red Devils as they snatched a dramatic injury time victory over Everton in the semi final as Anthony Martial scored in the 2-1 victory. It would certainly lift the spirits of the players and the supporters who have been clamouring for better football and trophy hauls from the team right from the time Sir Alex Ferguson left at the end of the 2013 season. The club will now face the winner of the other semi final between Crystal Palace and Watford that woudl take place on Sunday and there is absolutely no doubt that Manchester United will start as favourites in the final against either of those two clubs. An FA Cup title will certainly help the new crop of players develop the confidence needed for the biggest contests in European football.
