Barcelona is the most successful club in Europe over the past decade or so and it is not a surprise that their fans are a damanding lot, however the damning verdict that the Catalans delivered about their Brazilian star Neymar Junior in an online pool has shocked one and all. The club has not had the best few weeks during which they lose the El Clasico along with the next two games in the league to blow a nine point lead at the top of the table and crashed out of the UEFA Champions League at the quarter final stage as well. Naturally, the club's fans have been more than happy to show their displeasure and it boiled over in a recent online pool run by the Catalan website named SPORT in which a whopping 62% of the respondents wanted the club to sell Neymar Junior in the summer.

Neymar has not been in the best of form recently and after producing the goods in the early part of the season, he has looked woefully short of form in the past month or so. In addition to his poor form, reports have surfaced that he intends to leave Barcelona and join Paris Saint Germain in the summer, which has put further pressure on the player and antagonised the fiercely partisan fanbase further. According to the reports that surfaced few weeks back, his agent had said that Paris is a city where his client would like to live and work and the release clause that has been put into his contract would not be a problem for the cash rich owners of Paris Saint Germain.

Barcelona had beaten off rivals and broken some rules in order to sign the Brazilian back in 2013 and over the past three seasons, he has delivered plenty of goals and helped the club win the UEFA Champions League last year, which is why it would be surprising if he does quit the Camp Nou in the summer. The release clause has been set at £150 million but if thhe player wants to leave then Paris Saint Germain is one club who are both interested in signing him and also have the money to pay that release clause.
