Greenleaf, is all about what fans would expect a raunchy television show to contain - greed, infidelity, addiction, lies and sex. Oprah Winfrey co-stars on this show and is also the executive producer.

Although there are still months before the show premieres on the former daytime queen's OWN network, the Tribeca Film Festival offered a sneak-peak into the new series.

According to reports, the new show is about a former preacher named Grace "Gigi" Greenleaf, who returns to her family's opulent Memphis estate so she can bury her sister, a suicide victim. Greenleaf's role will be played by Merle Dandridge.

A glimpse of the first episode at the film festival revealed that the show would open with a melodrama and would introduce Gigi's affluent family. Some of the members of Gigi's family include her megachurch-bishop father, brother, sister and a sister-in-law.

While her brother is highly unfaithful, Gigi's sister is jealous of her and sister-in-lay plays a highly calculative character. The 42 minute long first episode also features the mistresses and ex-flames.

Show creator Craig Wright was heard saying that Greenleaf is neither a soap nor a sermon. And, the story revolves around a woman who misses her family as well as her faith and this encourages her to return to her roots. He further stated that the story is more about lost faith and the challenges faced when an effort to set things right is made.

Wright worked out the details of the show along with Winfrey. The two were wondering about the importance of the church in the black community. The show is being co-produced and directed by Clement Virgo.

The series consist of 13 episodes so far and is primarily shot in Atlanta. It is slated to be premiered on June 21 (10 p.m. ET/PT).
