"Fallout 4" is being updated by Bethesda on consoles in the next few weeks and the revamped difficulty will be brought to Xbox One and PlayStation 4, the studio said in a recent announcement.

This will be the biggest feature to be added to the upcoming version 1.5 of the 2015 game. The update will not only overhaul the Survival Mode but will also fix earlier bugs related to "Wasteland Workshop" and Automatron expansion packs. Players using PS4 consoles will also be able to remove add-on content from their Fallout 4 game.

The latest Survival Mode is available on Steam in beta version currently, allowing the PC gamers of Fallout 4 some extra time to test the new challenges, including new perks, enhanced limitation on game save and the amount players are allowed to carry. There will also be increased proneness to illness and fatigue. This are just some of the additions, amongst many other that makes the Survival Mode as the highest difficulty level ever offered on Fallout 4.

Beta doesn't support official mods but Bethesda claims that they will be added to PC version soon. Consoles will also receive their mod support in future updates. For now, the mod Creation Kit, that allows players to create and share their own mods in the game, is closed on Steam beta.

The next addition that will be brought to Fallout 4 is Far Harbor, the third expansion pack, die to be released on consoles and PC this year. Version 1.5 will also bring additional support and customization option in hope of enhancing downloadable content. Far Harbor will be followed by this month's "Wasteland Workshop" and Automatron DLC.
