Fans are starting to get restlessly anxious about the forthcoming release of the highly anticipated game 'Kingdom Hearts 3'. Despite swirling rumors flying across gameland, developer Square Enix remains tight-lipped about the details of the new game.

One thing that they should be grateful for, however, is that diehard loyalists remain steadfastly hoping that the game will be released any time soon despite repeated Square Enix's repeated delays of the release since official announcement back in 2013.

While Kingdom Hearts fans are itching for the game's release as early this year, the odds aren't pointing to that direction.

One of the reasons why Kingdom Hearts 3 is unlikely to be launched this years is that one of the game's voice actor Quinton Flynn (the voice behind Axel) joke tweeted that Square Enix should speed up the game's development since he needed the recording work to pay some bills.

"Speaking of Axel, when is the new Kingdom Hearts going into production? Step it up. Quinton needs to pay his bills!" said Flynn in his Twitter statement as quoted by Christian Daily.

Though he was joking around in his tweet, he did reveal to his followers that he hasn't started recording yet although a report from Design & Trend seems to confirm that Jim Cummings (Winnie the Pooh and Tigger) had already started his recording parts. This means that work on the game is currently underway albeit with apparent delays in the production.

Another possible reason why Square Enix will probably launch Kingdom Hearts 3 next year is that the developer has shifted its attention elsewhere- particularly with the completion of Final Fantasy XV, Crossmap reported. It is more likely that the fifteenth Final Fantasy installment will be prioritized for release this year than Kingdom Hearts' third title.

Meanwhile, Bit Bag reported that lead Kingdom Hearts 3 character is rumored to explore New York with Disney pals, Donald and goofy, with a recent rumored add-on to the adventure- Marvel Universe's The Avengers. Iron Man and Captain America are rumored to help Sora's party to rebuild the Big Apple after Chitauri's rampage in the first movie.
