Information has been extremely and unforgivingly scarce as fans anxiously wait for Nintendo's previously announced exclusively launching of 'The Legend of Zelda' in Wii U game console. Reports have indicated that the exclusive Wii U console game is fitted with excellent HD graphics- the first in the iconic game franchise.

Gaming pundits expect that the official release should be anytime this year as pressure mounts over the developer's repeated delays. So far, no details have been scooped regarding its exact release date. But if the statement for the Zelda creator is of any indication, then there is a reason to believe that hardcore fans may no longer have to wait endlessly.

Legendary game creator, Eiji Aonuma, recently stated in an interview by a Japanese online media outfit that the 'Legend of Zelda' Wii U exclusive version is nearing its completion without dropping any exact information on the release date.

"When we did Skyward Sword for the Wii, at the end stages of development, I was in charge of the characters' dialogue and the in-game text. And, now as well, it's like it was then. I had to work on text today, too," Aonuma said as quoted by Christian Times.

If the release is a Wii U exclusive, then it runs against the persisting rumors about the game appearing on both Wii U and a new upcoming platform codenamed 'Nintendo X'. As reported by Ecumenical News, the HD remastered forthcoming Zelda title will also be made available to Nintendo X although there are no other confirmed insider reports from Nintendo that will give credence to the swirling rumor.

Meanwhile, reports are surfacing about the Zelda Wii version coming out with a female avatar- rendering the Link with a gender-neutral attribute. According to Design & Trend, gender-neutral avatars have been a recent innovation seen in previous Zelda titles such as the 'Fire Emblem'.
