The latest new MacBook looks deliciously sexy as it is draped in rose gold- a familiar resemblance to Apple's iPhone and iPad series. Similar to MacBook's first generation models, the portable ultrathin notebook sports a 12-inch Retina display screen, a complete keyboard, Force Touch keys, and a single USB-C port for charging and syncing other devices, and a whole lot of add-ons jam-packed into a single frame weighing around 2 pounds with 13.1-mm thickness.

The internal specs include 1.1-gigahertz dual-core Intel Core M3 processor, a generous 8 GB RAM offering, plus a huge 256 external flash storage which initially costs around $1, 299. The MacBook's currently made available for purchase on the company's website, authorized resellers, as well as Apple's retail chain stores across the US on Wednesday this week.

As per The Verge, the device's powerful Intel Core M processors can run up to record speed of 1.3 GHz plus Turbo Boost reaching 3.1 GHz. The refreshed notebook laptops also comes with a faster 1866 megahertz memory. In addition, the new Intel HD Graphics 515 improves MacBook's graphics performance by up to 25%. Processing speed has also reportedly enhanced with the new PCIe-based flash storage.

Apart from the abovementioned enhancements, Apple has significantly upped the device's battery longevity with 10 hours of wireless internet browsing and 11 hours of iTunes movie playback, 9 to 5 Mac reported.

"MacBook is the thinnest and lightest Mac we have ever made and it's our vision for the future of the notebook," remarked Apple Senior VP for Worldwide Marketing Philip Schiller as quoted by Apple Insider. "Customers are going to love this update to MacBook, with the latest processors, faster graphics, faster flash storage, longer battery life and a beautiful rose gold finish."

What other updates does the 2016 MacBook offer?

The notebook inherited its predecessor's single USB-C port for charging, data transfer and video output. The laptop's reversible connector is only a third of the conventional USB port's size. Readily observable are the missing vents which gives it really cool fanless design. Lastly, the 2016 MacBook is armed 802.11ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity.

If you value greater processing power, the newest MacBook Pro is an obvious. And if you settle for a multipurpose MacBook that meet most of the laptop basic functions, the portable Air is good enough to carry around.
