So, the season finale of Supergirl is here. And Supergirl (Kara) has some major tasks in her hand, starting with a face-off against her sister Alex, who is under the mind-control program- Myriad, led by Non and Indigo.

Kara will have to marshal the support of everyone to fight the menace as Alex is attacking her. But when Alex's mother appears with Martian and makes a mention of her father, the spell fades out and she becomes free. Supergirl teams up with Cat Grant and Maxwell Lord to send out a message of hope to the National City.

But the Myriad signal returns and Lord informs everyone that it will kill the human race. Supergirl has to take charge and she is sure that it very likely means death for her. She has a heart-to-heart with her team and later on, is joined by Martian Manhunter in her fight against Non and Indigo.

As the Myriad is approaching fast and threatens to reach human-brain-implosion levels. On the other hand, the fight is on between Kara and villains. J'onn J'onzz helps her and tears Indigo in half with his hands, letting Supergirl win the tussle against Non. However, the timer shows looming destruction.

So, Supergirl has to embrace death as the only solution that can save earth requires her to fly Fort Rozz far into the space. But Alex uses the pod Kara brought to earth to rescue her and Supergirl is hailed as the hero by the American people.

According to reports, the show ends on a good note with Kara getting a promotion and the women celebrating. But it also leaves hints about forthcoming trouble in season 2. As J'onn J'onzz is seen speaking about working together, Sam and Maxwell appear to be in a secret meeting.

Kara and James share a passionate kiss, everyone cheers, but then a distant explosion ruins the merrymaking. A pod is found at the site and when Supergirl opens it, all she utters is "oh my God".
