The latest roundup surfacing from NBA's every bustling rumor mills suggest that Dwight Howard was ditching Houston Rockets for Chicago Bulls this offseason. If the rumor proves correct, then Howard would be an excellent addition to Chicago's frontcourt rotation as the team inches closer to full rebuild.

As reported in Shaan Masala's Sports Blog, Howard is reportedly unhappy with his lot while donning a Rockets uniform as the team faces exit from the playoffs after being crushed by defending NBA champions, the Golden State Warriors.

He is currently searching for greener pastures- a max contract to be specific- while seeking a place in the roster that will develop his skills to its fullest potential especially on the offensive end. Howard is set to become an unrestricted free agent this summer and if the Bulls can make a reasonable offer, then he'll be a great addition to a lineup to reinvigorate Chicago's hopes to reach the playoffs next season.

But is Dwight Howard a good fit for the Bulls?

Fansided seemed to have a positive view of his would-be valuable contribution given his previous track record on how the enigmatic he was in his playoff games which makes him a candidate core player for the Bulls.

"Given that Howard is only as old as Taj Gibson and Joakim Noah, he isn't some aging relic like Kendrick Perkins. He can still anchor the defense and defensive rebounding chores for the Bulls if partnered with Bobby Portis and even Cristiano Felicio in Hoiberg's rotating lineups. Of course, Noah is still projected to be the starting center," wrote sports writer Michael Rene Kanoy for Fansided.

He further noted, "The Bulls can actually shop Gibson around and free more money (just under $9 million in his final year) if they do trade Jimmy Butler for draft picks and players. They can get an upgrade in Howard at the post and maybe have enough left for one or two more free agent pick-ups, depending on roster needs."

Despite obvious advantages from Howard's gameplay, there have been growing concerns over the player's current mental and physical state. As reported by Inquistr, some pundits observed that he was basically declining from his usual hardcourt prowess affecting the intensity of his play on both offensive and defensive ends. Furthermore, Howard also went through a number of injuries which forced him to miss games more than half a year due to a devastating knee injury.
