The NPD has just released its Game sales chart for March with two of Ubisoft's games landing numbers one and two. Tom Clancy's The Division has been driving up most of the sales for the month followed by Far Cry and Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess HD.

After a long-time absence from the top chart, Nintendo finally made a strong comeback after the release of its highly anticipated Zelda title. Despite being exclusive on Nintendo platform, Zelda's good sales performance is could be a result of having a small but staunchly loyal base of Wii U console fans and users, Venture Beat reported.

According to Nintendo World Report, Zelda acquired the #3 spot as bestselling game of the month after posting a sales record of over 300, 000 copies as a single game/system combo and overall.

The report further indicates positive sign of health of the gaming industry as a whole posting an 8% growth compared to the sales figures in the same month last year. However, hardware sales have recently plummeted posting a dismal 19% drop in dollar sales according to Softpedia.

If there's anything that the NPD sales chart proved, it is the fact that Nintendo can bank on its faithful users to purchase exclusive buys and several games for a platform on a monthly basis. Loyalty seems to create a value for Nintendo's business.

Meanwhile, below are the top ten bestselling games according to NPD data as reported by IGN:

Tom Clancy's The Division (PS4, XBO, PC)

Far Cry: Primal (PS4, XBO, PC)

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD (NWU)
