Charlize Theron is all set to play the bad guy in the movie. However, the movie is yet to confirm the role to be played by Scott Eastwood, legendary actor and Hollywood director Clint Eastwood's son.

The news about Eastwood's involvement in the movie was reported much before the actor tweeted himself. The popular star cast of the Fast & Furious franchise include Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez and Paul Walker. But after the death of Walker in a car crash in 2013, this will be the first time when he will not be a part of the series.

Over the years, Universal Studios has added more actors to their F&F series with Tyrese Gibson, Jason Statham and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, making an appearance in 2015 Fast & Furious 7.

Eight installment of the series will be a game changer for Eastwood as he will also be seen in "Suicide Squad" and "Snowden" by Oliver Stone in September. Eastwood has also secured a role in Affleck's 2017 crime-based movie, "Live By Night."

According to the reports earlier this year, there will be two more additions to the F&F series with parts 9 and 10 due in 2019 and 2021, respectively.

Vin Diesel, star and producer of the movies, divulged his plans last year when he said, "I promised the studio I would deliver one last trilogy to end the saga." The actor also implied that more spinoffs of the movie are possible that will be positioned around the central characters of the action series.

Fast & Furious 8 will hit the theatres on April 14, 2017.
