Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge is just one step short of being treated as a phablet. If the Samsung fans want pure phablet experience, they will have to wait for Galaxy Note 6.

However, the buzz has it that Galaxy Note 6 will not be launched until the end of this year but that didn't stop the rumor mill to churn. Here are some things that the fans are expecting to see in their next phablet smartphone.

As far as the release date is concerned, Samsung launches its flagship devices towards the end of the year so this is the best time to expect a new device. The most valid expectation from the smartphone is to be water resistant, following the footsteps of Galaxy S7. There is also a speculation that the device will use 2.6GHz quad-core Snapdragon 823 chip, a chip that is yet to be announced. If the rumors are indeed true, then this chip will make the phone much faster, but with additional support of 8GB RAM.

There are many other rumors surrounding the new Galaxy Note 6 such as n iris scanner, since Samsung has imported iris scanner modules. However, it is not known if they are intended to be used in their upcoming phablet. Sporting a 5.8-inch screen, Galaxy Note 6 will have 1440 x 2560-pixel screen, 64GB/128GB storage, 12MP camera and much more. But it is important to note that these are just speculations so far and nothing has been confirmed by the company yet.

While these are obviously some amazing features if they make it into Galaxy Note 6, but it would also be a great inclusion to have a microSD card slot. This will give the users power over storage space and more so now that card slot has been re-introduced in Galaxy S7.

The best thing will be to bring in exciting innovation that will stimulate the Samsung enthusiasts into buying this handset over others in the market.
