Kobe Bryant played his last game in basketball on Wednesday night and it wasn't like any other final game; the LA Lakers player shot 50 times, a historical record.

It was like a going away celebration, reports New York Times. The Staples Center, where they played, was filled with purple and yellow balloons on the rafters, gift bags, and a block party outside. Even before the game, there was a video tribute to the player.

"It's surreal," Bryant said of his last game and its celebrations. "It's almost like you're in a fog. Everything is moving extremely slow but extremely fast. You're trying to take it all in. You're not quite sure where to look."

But there is no doubt that Bryant topped off the night with his 50 shots, 60 points. No one could doubt that it was that him who led the Lakers to the 101-96 win over Utah Jazz.

Bryant couldn't hold his excitement either especially since his children were there to see his outstanding performance.

"The coolest thing is that my kids actually saw me play like I used to play," Bryant said. "It was like, 'Whoa, Dad!' I said, 'Yeah, I used to do that.' They were like, 'Really?' I was like, 'Dude, YouTube it.' "

Bryant hasn't been playing too well this season so many fans wouldn't be surprised if he ended the same way. Other former NBA players also didn't end their final games so strongly. Michael Jordan as a Washington Wizard just shot 15 at his final game. Bryant's former teammate, Shaquille o'Neal, didn't score any as a Celtic. Charles Barkley scored two when he played for the Houston Rockets. But now we can say that he had the best final game of all time.

This isn't the only record Kobe broke in his career in the NBA. Bryant had stayed with the Lakers for 20 seasons, much longer than any other NBA player. He has also notably been working with his wife with the homeless in LA, according to NPR sports.
