Right from the time Jose Mourinho was sacked as full time manager of Chelsea FC last December, his next club has been a subject of incessant speculation in several sections of the media and after being linked to the Manchester United job all this while, it seems the Portuguese manager is now being linked with the managerial position at Paris Saint Germain. PSG has won the French Ligue 1 in a canter but that is primarily because of the fact that the other clubs cannot really compete with their financial might, however the prize that the club yearns for is the UEFA Champions League and yet again, they failed to advance beyond the quarter final stage. Moreover, the loss was blamed on manager Laurent Blanc due to his sudden change of tactics and now the hierarchy at PSG are looking for a managerial change.

The manager that PSG want to replace Blanc with is Jose Mourinho and they are prepared to fight it out with other clubs, thought to be European giants Manchester United and Real Madrid, in order to land their man. Mourinho has been a Manchester United target for quite a while and there have been reports that stated that a pre contract has already been signed, however no announcement of any sort has been forthcoming from the club. Mourinho has also been contacted by Real Madrid as a possible replacement of Zinedine Zidane next season but a return to Madrid might not appeal to him.

Mourinho is one of the highest paid managers in the world and PSG chiefs are prepared to pay him a whopping £15 million per season if he does decide to take over as the manager of the French champions. Jose Mourinho would have no dearth of funds at Paris Saint Germain and the league title is almost guaranteed, however it is Europe's premier club competition that he would be expected to deliver if he signs on the dotted line.
