Since his record breaking move to Real Madrid from Tottenham Hotspur in 2013, Welshman Gareth Bale has proven to be an excellent signing for the Spanish giants and was an integral member of the team that went on to deliver the much awaited 10th Champions League title. However, according to reports in several sections of the European media, Gareth Bale has refused to sign a new contract with the Madrid based club and is angling for a move back to the English Premier League. Manchester United is one of the clubs who are after him and are prepared to meet his demands as they look to bolster their attacking force this summer.

Gareth Bale is regarded as the natural successor of Cristiano Ronaldo at Real Madrid and the club are desperate to keep hold of him, but it seems that the former Spurs player wants to engineer a move back to England. He did play down the centre of the attack for some time but that has not been the case recently and it might not change till Cristiano Ronaldo is playing at the Bernabau, which might be one of the reasons why Bale might want out as long as he is still in his prime.

Manchester United are prepared to pay top dollar for his services and he had been one of their targets last summer as well. It is however important to point out that Manchester United's bitter cross town rivals Manchester City are also in the fray and could make a competing bid if Bale really does come on to the market in the summer. Real Madrid are trying everything in their powers to make sure that their record purchase does extend his stay in Spain but if he does not then they might put in a bid for Chelsea's unsettled star Eden Hazard and according to sources a £32 million deal could be in the works. Real Madrid's current manager Zinedine Zidane is a long time admirer of the Belgian and he believes that if Gareth Bale does not sign a new contract then Hazard would be able to fill the void left behind by the Welshman.
