Michael Schumacher Health Status News: April Fool's Day Prank Confirming Athlete's Status Angered Fans

Snippets on Michael Schumacher's condition have filled rumor land with diverse and, sometimes, wild speculations over the racing superstar's current situation. With scarcity of information, misleading reports are often taken as 'facts' by fans who anxiously prays for their idol's earnest recovery. However, an April fool's day prank by Sportsrageous have put the news blog outfit under fire over media responsibility and accountability.

As reported by Ecumenical News, a shocking piece of news, which was recently taken down, published by Sportsrageous reported Schumacher's alleged full recovery from his skiing injuries and has since been preparing for a dramatic return to the racing scene.

Although most fans would have wanted it, the whole report backfired when it was revealed that such roundup was merely a fictitious update devoid of any credible insider sources that was purposely written to play pranks on people.

Some news organization have condemned such irresponsible news writing at the expense of public trust in the media calling the prank post 'misleading'. Amid a plethora of unconfirmed rumors, Michael Schumacher's family has yet to issue an official response on the purported news of his recovery. He and his family is quite well known to quell false reports through legal actions as reported by Parent Herald.

Meanwhile, the seven-time F1 racing champion still cannot move on his own and speak while under the care of 15-member medical staff dedicated to his full recovery at his Swiss mansion according to a news update by Cross Map.

Shumacher and his son John are both trying to recover from a terrible injury after their December 2013 skiing accident in the Swiss Alps. After a while in the hospital, the former champion is already getting rehabilitation since medical treatment was mas moved to his home.

"We are happy to say still he does improvement and I say this always considering the severity of the injury he had. But of course it will take a very long time for everybody involved to fight, and we are happy to take this fight," remarked the Schumacher's manager and spokesperson, Sabine Kehm as reported by The Bit Bag.
