Hallyu star Song Hye Kyo was reportedly offered by Japanese car brand Mutsubishi to be their new model. However, the actress refused to do the offering.

According to a public relation in charge of the actress, she was also offered a large amount of money of the said commercial for Mutsubishi China. Song Hye Kyo without any hesitation rejects the offer because of the legal dispute the company is facing. The CF (Commercial Film) was scheduled to be aired in China.

Mutsubishi is currently in the process of facing lawsuits due to the forced labor during the Japan's colonial era where there were several victims involved.

A Korean specialist who experts in promoting the Korean culture made a comment regarding Song Hye Kyo's refusal about the model offering, as Seo Kyung Deok said that Song Hye Kyo has been promoting the Korean culture for quite some time. She has a great sense of patriotism, showing her interest in Korean History and culture by promoting it to other countries.

Seo Kyung Deok also opened that they had a talk with the actress about the Mutsubishi's offering, the actress Song Hye Kyo then said "Mutsubishi hasn't taken responsibility for their past actions yet, right? That means I am not going to be modeling for them."

The actress has been outshined because of her casting in the hit Korean drama "Descendants of the Sun" aside from that she is being careful of making decisions, for every small action might be a concern not only to the actress but also to her country.

Song Hye Kyo has been busy promoting her drama together with the actor Song Joong-ki. They just recently came back to Korea from Hong Kong.
