WWE Raw News And Rumors: Lucha Underground's Talents May Be Given Focus

New reports suggest that WWE officials are on a hunt for a number of Lucha Underground wrestlers and may induce some talents into signing lucrative contracts during a long break between seasons.

As reported by PW Mania, 5 Mexican talents currently fall under the talent scouts' radar which WWE hopes to get signed in just in time for the Global Series Cruiserweight tournament which begins taping once the Lucha Underground season ends.

One of the top Lucha Underground stars favored to get WWE contract is Ricochet also known as Prince Puma. According to Wrestle Zone, speculations over his possible onboard jump to WWE were fueled by his announcement that he will no longer have any indie bookings shortly after June. Apart from Ricochet, another Lucha Underground female star may be heading for WWE soon. Lucha circuit's Melissa Santos was seen at WrestleMania 32. Just a few weeks ago, there have been swirling rumors that WWE is eyeing to get her under the franchise's wings.

Meanwhile, Lucha Underground star Johnny Mundo recently claimed that the independent circuit is planning on the expansion of its distribution network elsewhere primarily in countries like Spain, Canada, the UK, and Morocco. While live events have been the staple for indie wrestling, reaching out to a growing number of viewers and fans through televised episodes is increasingly becoming important according to Inside Pulse.

Elsewhere in the wrestling world, Dr. Phil and his son's band 'Hundred Handed' is slated for an appearance at WWE RAW at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. The event is already a sold out with as many as 14,000 attending.

Also, Chris Jericho is reportedly having a Podcast One rock and wrestling network of his own with himself as the main host with a slew of other potential hosts which the wrestling star hopes will join him onboard.
