A very good news for players who couldn't get their hands on multiplayer beta last week. These players are now being given a second chance, public open beta that begins on April 15 and will run through April 17.

According to an announcement made by Bethesda on Wednesday, players who want to be a part of beta do not need any codes. However, beta will only provide access to two maps, Infernal and Heatwave and the Warpath and Team Deathmatch will be the only game modes available.

Another thing to look forward to is the SnapMap feature that will be unlocked with Doom's full version. This feature will give the players an opportunity to create their own modes and then share it with the active gaming community. The final version will also give players as many as six multiplayer modes.

"We know the Doom community has always been about great user-generated content, and that's something we want to continue to encourage with SnapMap, an innovative new component of Doom designed to make creating, sharing and playing new game experiences fast and easy," Bethesda writes. "On top of being able to access and play new modes and maps created by your fellow gamers, Id [Software] plans to offer content updates for SnapMap, including map modules; props and objects; additional features and functionality; AI enhancements; editing tool enhancements and more."

Bethesda also shared more details about the new features that will come along with multiplayer DLC packs as well as Doom season pass. The company is planning to launch three premium DLC packs that will come packed with new maps, weapons, demons and hack modules.

Doom will be available on PCs, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on May 13.
